Mankon Grand Cultural Festival

The Celebration of His Royal Highness Fo Angwafo 111 Golden Jubilee on the throne.
The main objective of the twin event is to showcase the rich history, culture, economic and touristic potentials of the Mankon Fondom (Kingdom) to the world at large and joyfully celebrate 50 years of peaceful and successful reign of the paramount traditional ruler of Mankon.
Interesting to note that Mankon, as a microcosm of Grassfield culture, hosts a variety of fascinating arts, cultural festivals, rituals and traditional dances .The Fondom is endowed with tremendous tourism potentials, among them the famous Mankon Royal Palace that is the cultural centre of the North West Region. Other striking tourist attractions include the monumental Mankon Museum (see web site www.museumcam.org),the Mankon Sacred Forest (one of the richest, largest and best conserved Sacred Forests in the region), the amazing ALANKIE Heritage Site with tombs and shrines of seven kings. This is complemented with beautiful enticing landscape and a hospitable population.
In good cooperation with the Organizing Committee, Zwinkels Tours Cameroon with its Head Office in Bamenda in the Nort-West Region of Cameroon, is promoting this great festival, which is scheduled for December 14-21, 2009 at the Mankon Royal Palace in The Netherlands as well as in Cameroon.
